SCENARIO

This dashboard presents a comprehensive analysis of global life expectancy trends between 2007 and 2022, utilizing data sourced from an official government website. The data was rigorously processed using SQL and organized into structured tables, ensuring the dashboard's accuracy and reliability.

OUTCOME

The data analysis reveals a global upward trend in life expectancy. While the pace of improvement varies across nations, countries with historically lower life expectancy demonstrate more substantial gains. Furthermore, a positive correlation appears to exist between a country's GDP and its average life expectancy.

INSIGHTS

There is a correlation between life expectancy, GDP, and BMI:

• Countries with higher GDP tend to have high life expectancy

• BMI seems to trend higher with higher life expectancy and GDP. This could be due to more food being available for those countries.

• Based on the data, Switzerland has the highest GDP and life expectancy. Somalia has the combined lowest of these two.

Life expectancy is increasing over time while adult mortality is decreasing over time:

• World life expectancy across all available countries has increased by 5 years from 2007 to 2022

• Adult mortality across all available countries has decreased by 5,236 deaths from 2007 to 2022

Some smaller countries have drastically improved their life expectancy over 15 years:

• Haiti has had the largest life expectancy increase by 29 years

• Guyana has had the smallest life expectancy increase by 1 year

• Undeveloped countries have had the largest life expectancy increase within the 15 years
